Gloria Dobbs, Founder & Creative Director

Gloria Dobbs, PotterGloria has been living, breathing & loving pottery since age 16. Introduced and encouraged by her High School Art Teacher, John Zacco, she attended DuCret School of Arts, then went onto taking classes at Greenwich House of Pottery, Old Church Cultural Center and eventually opening her own studio where she cultivated her craft, selling through local art galleries or craft fairs and taught pottery.

Making cremation urns is the culmination of many years of experience in manufacturing, adding to that the love and encouragement of her late husband, who suggested "why not make cremation urn, something useful and functional?” many years before his passing.

The idea of creating L'urns came about after a few years of making cremation urns.  A dear creative friend, Valerie, saw a beautiful ceramic lamp one day and called Gloria with the idea....she said "why not"!  The rest is history.

Lamp Urns titled  "L'urns", are each unique and one of a kind.  A piece that you can pass from generation to generation, keeping your loved ones safe and nearby.

Her work is dedicated to her late husband, Ron, who never ceases to leave her side or her heart.
